PATENT ATTORNEY
Silvia Bertuccio graduated with high distinction in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Milan with an experimental dissertation on patents.
Her career as an IP consultant began in 2005 with a leading patent firm located in Milan and she joined B&M in 2009.
She handles the drafting of Italian and foreign patent applications and related examination procedures before the competent offices; prior art searches and drafting of patentability, FTO and infringement opinions; she assists clients as technical expert in patent infringement and/or invalidity proceedings. Silvia’s expertise encompasses the filing, prosecution and litigation of Supplementary Protection Certificates (SPCs) and relevant paediatric extensions.
She is currently a coordinator and a lecturer in the advanced Industrial Property Management course at the University of Milan.
Silvia also conducts workshops for B&M clients.
